About Rentlet
Rentlet is an independent guide to renting and letting in hard rental markets. We don't list flats and we don't take a cut: every link goes to the portal, authority or organisation itself.
Who we are
Rentlet is made by Upper Eight AB, a small Swedish company in Malmö that builds websites and digital tools. It exists because the people who most need straight information about a rental market, newcomers, are the ones the market treats worst: they don’t know the local portals, the local habits, the documents everyone else has ready, or the scams everyone else has learned to spot.
How the pages are made
Each city page is researched from official housing pages, statistics offices, the portals’ own market reports, local news, tenant unions and the places locals talk: city subreddits, expat forums and groups. Tips from forums are rewritten in our own words and never attributed to a person. Every figure gets a source and a date. A portal, agency or organisation is listed only if we saw its live site during the research, and the four meters follow the published method.
Country pages hold what a country’s cities share: contracts, deposits, rent increases, notice, registration, what landlords must do and where disputes go, sourced to the law or an authority.
Pages store the date they were last checked. We go through them oldest-first and add, correct or remove what has changed.
What we can’t do
We can never guarantee that an agency, listing or landlord is legitimate, and we don’t give legal advice. The disclaimer says this in full. We also don’t help find flats or mediate with landlords; the city and country pages list who can.
Advertising and independence
Right now nobody pays to be listed and no link earns us a commission. If that changes, anything paid will be clearly marked as Sponsored, and paid placements will never be hidden among the rest without that label. Ratings and tips are never for sale.
